I can design a software suite for you on a project or fixed cost basis. I can design transaction based "Business to Business" and "Business to Consumer" software that will kill the category killers. I've got a proven track record.

If you've got an idea for something that you need, call me and I'll tell you whether it's viable or not.

I'm Different

I don't see software as an end objective. I see it as improving sales, reducing costs or keeping hard won customers or managing transactions.

I design software that ameliorates the business that already exists. I see it as one more tool, and if necessary a powerful tool, that helps the company to achieve its objectives.

  • Anywhere that your valuable employees have to involve themselves in what I call "donkey work" is an opportunity to have the tasks performed by software.
  • Any area where you want transactions carried out accurately with no transcription errors, is an opportunity for good software.
  • A company can extend its reach to geographical areas where it has no bricks and mortar presence with good Business To Business and Business To Consumer software.
  • Managing warranty, returns, credits, serial numbers, shipment tracking and inventory turnover optimisation is an opportunity for software.
  • Any area where your customers need to transact business or see existing and past transactions, when your staff have gone home, is an excellent opportunity.
  • If you have a large, varied and dynamic inventory and sales catalogue, your inventory costs change often, you change margins frequently and you want your customers to have instant access to your offerings, rather than in a week's time, then that's a case for good software.
  • If you have staff in remote or various locations and you want all your staff to see the most up to date transactions and records, then my software will avoid the use of WANs, routers, leased lines and other 20th century paraphernalia.

Mind you, while all these areas contain room for optimisation and cost reduction, bad software and non specific "off the shelf software" will usually bring about heartache, disappointment and failure.

Beware of those people who want you to change your business model and the way you do things, so you fit in with their software. It's supposed to be the other way around.

Good software has been solving business problems for over 40 years now; bad or unsuitable software has turned many users off for life and has even sent companies belly up.

All software proposals should be viewed against the following criteria:
  • Will it increase sales and profits more than it costs?
  • Will it reduce the turnover of the loyal customer base? The cost of winning new customers is horrendous. The cost of servicing, caring and holding the existing customers is much less and customer retention is essential to stay in business.
  • Will someone be available to change it or update it when required?
  • Will the software work the way your business does, to avoid massive and costly retraining?

Good software with which companies do business over the Internet will become increasingly valuable as fuel costs escalate and then start to dry up in the next few years. Those companies that have solved the problem before it arrives, will survive.

Do You Have A Need?

If you think that you have a need, give me a call on +61 2 9016 4347 and outline your problem or idea; I'll quickly tell you whether I can help you or not. You might be surprised at how little it costs to solve a big problem, or to give your company a dose of operational steroids.
